several new panoramas
i've posted two new panoramas each for sites 3, 4 and 7, and one more new one for 8 (old main hill). these were taken on sep. 24 and today (30th). the most recent ones for sites 4 and 7 show the curbing in place at the beginning of the ring road.

today's new one for #3 (sort of) shows the dig for what looks like a retaining wall in the parking lot. here's a still of that spot:
new pano for old main hill (#8)
i've posted a new panorama for the spot in front of old main (pano 8 site). it might not look much different at first, but if you look carefully you can see the new retaining wall for the northward hill down the ring road.

blank movies?? quicktime 7.1.3 and flash problems
when apple released the quicktime 7.1.3 'update,' they disabled default support for flash content. why am i telling you this? because all of the quicktime panoramas i've been posting have flash content - the little labels in the bottom corner. if you've updated to the recent version of quicktime - and if you're on a mac you probably have, just by using software update - YOU'LL GET BLANK WINDOWS for the panoramas! to make things work again, you need to go into "quicktime preferences," click the advanced tab, and turn on the "Enable Flash." box. why!?...
that said, i think i'll no longer add the flash labels to the panoramas, and dodge this stupid bullet alltogether. a big mistake by apple, and lots of media developers are complaining.
new panorama site - roof of old main!
kevin larson of the facilities mechanical staff has provided me with a new panorama location - the roof of old main. look for "pano 10." this is a great vantage point for the science complex construction, and just a cool view in general. see if you can find both carleton's and st. olaf's wind turbines.
i've also posted a new panorama for site #7. the retaining wall looks complete.

two new panoramas - #4 and #6
posted two new panoramas. #4 shows the retaining block wall going in below the road, #6 shows, or rather no longer shows, the pile of fill which sat in front of holland hall. the tunnel is covered and the road paved.
